New Cat Eye Tutorial

I am just loving this twist on the classic winged liner. There's just something so exotic about that tiny little point on the inner corner of the eye.  It reminds me of Old Hollywood stars; and has such an eye opening effect.

This liner is the STAR of this post for sure! I really love the wing that I can create with it, fairly easy to use, though it's not waterproof it is fairly smudge proof in my experience.

Here is a quick little pictorial for how I achieved this look! I began by priming my lid with Mica Beauty Cosmetics eye shadow base from lash line to brow bone. From the Tartelette palette I used the color Free Spirit all over my lids. Doing this also helps to blend the shadows better. In the crease I used Natural Beauty.

Start on the outer corner of your eye and begin your wings line, I like to go about a 45 degree angle up from the end of the eye and extend it past my natural crease, just slightly. Take your line back towards the center ending about your iris.

Continue to line the eye as you would a traditional liner. One you get to the inner corner you want to almost draw your inner corner liner either straight out from your tear duct, or down. Whichever you prefer according to your eye shape. Apply mascara and lashes if you prefer. Lightly line bottom lash line with Natural Beauty eye shadow, and liner your inner lash line with a nude pencil. Voila!! There you have your cat eye liner!

Have you tried this type of liner yet? I'd love to hear from you!
